Meng Wang, Ph.D.
Assistant Professor of Computational Medicine and Bioinformatics
Member of the Institute for Heart and Brain Health starting from Sep 2023.
Before I came to UMich, I was a postdoctoral researcher in the Dr. Mike Snyder’s lab at Stanford, leading data analysis and integration for several projects, including GTEx, wearable COVID project, ENCODE, and HuBMAP. I obtained my Ph.D. in Mathematics with Specialization in Statistics from the University of California, San Diego (under advisor: Dr. Ery Arias-Castro). I also undertook about one-year postdoctoral training in privacy protection in the Department of Biomedical Informatics at UCSD (under advisor: Dr. Xiaoqian Jiang).
My overall research interest is developing novel computational and statistical methods to integrate diverse biomedical data for early detection, intervention, and prevention of diseases.
